The DynaStar products include hardened
routers, switches, terminal servers, Frame Relay Access
Devices, and DSU/CSU. These products have been
engineering to withstand even the most extreme environments.
The DynaStar 1500-IFR and 2000-IFR Industrial Frame Routers extend
monitoring, control and automation networks to large industrial and
utility environments. These hardened products, provide robust and reliable alternatives to non-hardened commercial switches, routers, terminal servers and related network access equipment. In a single product,
each of these units integrates five often discrete networking functions: Terminal Server (Async serial device support), Ethernet switch (local switching and router access), IP Router, Frame Relay Access Device (for IP or Direct-to-Frame serial traffic), and DSU/CSU (electrical and physical interface to the Wide Area Network (WAN)).
The DS1500-ETS and DS2000-TS families of utility-hardened serial-to-IP terminal servers
enhance network reliability and reduce costs by integrating fiber optic
interfaces on serial data connections.
Both product families meet the IEEE 1613 specifications for electromagnetic interference, temperature and electrical surges, providing a reliable alternative to commercial-grade devices in harsh environments like substations, pumping stations, treatment plants and transportation systems. The DS2000-TS consolidates connections from a number of industrial devices with Async serial connections including bit- or byte-oriented Async serial connections protocols.
The DynaStar Network Integration Systems (NIS) is available in several physical and functional configurations and is compliant with IEEE C37.90 for utilities and NEBS level-3 for carriers. The DynaStar provides a simple, modular and expandable solution across a wide range of distributed application requirements.
The Ethernet Switch Systems (ESS) extends Ethernet networking into harsh environments reliably and simply. ESS hardware design protects against electrical surge, EMI, extreme temperature variations and other environmental challenges. ESS software features provide the security, class of service and network management capabilities needed to assure application performance.
